The historic Malsis Hall needs a new use.
The Grade II listed building was built in 1866 as a private residence. From 1920 it operated as an independent preparatory school before closing in 2014. Our plans will conserve and restore the Hall and other historic buildings on the site, creating a new future for Malsis.
We have listened and amended our plans.
Following feedback from local residents and stakeholders, we have reduced the number of houses proposed on the site - from 87 to 70. Our amended plans will also protect more historic buildings on site, including the chapel and the eastern cottage facade. A large area of the site will be retained as improved sport pitches and Malsis Hall will be renovated into a specialist care and rehabilitation facility.
